Research Focus
Dr. Rodney Kiplin Guy's lab focuses on improving the effectiveness of new antimalarial drugs called ATP4 inhibitors. The research aims to understand how these drugs work in combination with others and how to reduce the risk of malaria parasites developing resistance. By studying both laboratory and animal models, the lab seeks to find the best combinations of drugs that can treat malaria effectively while minimizing the chance that parasites will become resistant to treatment.
