Research Focus
Dr. Zhiyuan Shen's lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which BRCA proteins help maintain DNA integrity and influence cancer therapy. The team investigates how deficiencies in DNA repair processes contribute to cancer and how we might exploit these defects for treatment. Their research aims to improve outcomes for patients with BRCA-related cancers, such as breast cancer and medulloblastoma.
