Research Aims
3AIM 01Identify molecular contents of extracellular vesicles from islet cells in both healthy and Type 1 Diabetes subjects.
AIM 02Capture and analyze T-cell receptor-bearing extracellular vesicles from serum to monitor T cell activity in the pancreas.
AIM 03Develop methodologies to enrich and isolate pancreatic islet-derived extracellular vesicles from small serum volumes for analysis.
