Research Aims
3AIM 01Establish the inflammatory origin of the 18F-FDG signature in patients with severe mitral regurgitation.
AIM 02Conduct a longitudinal study of patients with mild to moderate mitral regurgitation and collect imaging and biometric data.
AIM 03Assess the impact of mitral valve surgery on myocardial inflammation and function after 12 months.
