Research Focus
Dr. Haohua Tu's lab focuses on improving the success rates of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), like in vitro fertilization (IVF), through advanced imaging techniques. By developing a method called multiplexed optical metabolic imaging (MOMI), the lab aims to combine detailed insights into an embryo's structure and metabolism, which could lead to better assessments of embryo viability. Ultimately, this research could enhance the chances of successful pregnancies from embryo transfers, benefiting both humans and livestock.
