Research Focus
Dr. Yong Cheng's lab studies how specific long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), particularly FENDRR, help our immune system fight against tuberculosis, a severe bacterial infection. By examining how FENDRR is activated during infections and its role in immune response, the lab aims to uncover new treatment strategies for this widespread disease.
