Research Focus
Dr. Cynthia A Berg's research lab focuses on improving the management of Type 1 diabetes (T1D) during the challenging transition to adulthood. Her team explores how to enhance self-regulation strategies and leverage social support networks to help young adults aged 18-24 better manage their diabetes. The lab investigates a newly adapted intervention aimed at equipping emerging adults with skills for effective diabetes management and supports their ability to build relationships and communicate needs as they transition out of parental guidance.
