Research Focus
Dr. William A. Weiss's lab focuses on understanding and developing new therapies for aggressive brain cancers, particularly glioblastoma and medulloblastoma. By investigating mechanisms at the molecular level, such as how specific proteins regulate cancer cell growth, the lab aims to create targeted treatments that improve patient outcomes while minimizing side effects. Current research includes developing drugs that can effectively penetrate the blood-brain barrier and inhibit key cancer drivers in the brain.
