Research Focus
Dr. Brian D'Onofrio's research focuses on understanding how medications for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affect young people's risk of substance use disorders and related health issues. Through analysis of a large dataset from Medicaid, his lab aims to identify patterns of medication use among youths and evaluate the impact of different ADHD treatments on serious substance-related outcomes. The goal is to improve clinical decision-making and outcomes for individuals with ADHD, especially those at higher risk for substance use problems.
