Research Focus
Dr. Katy Rezvani's lab focuses on developing innovative therapies for patients with T cell malignancies, which are difficult to treat using traditional methods. They are pioneering the use of CAR-engineered natural killer (NK) cells as a safer and more effective alternative to CAR-T cell therapies. The lab is currently conducting clinical trials to evaluate these CAR-NK cells and uses advanced techniques like genome-wide CRISPR screening to understand how to overcome treatment resistance in these cancers.

Research Aims
3AIM 01Conduct a Phase I/II clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of iC9/CAR5-28/IL-15 NK cells in patients with CD5+ T cell malignancies.
AIM 02Perform comprehensive correlative studies on the infused CAR-NK cells to understand their persistence and trafficking in patients.
AIM 03Identify novel regulators of CAR-NK cell function using genome-wide CRISPR screening to improve therapy design.
