Research Focus
Dr. Waseem Asghar's research lab focuses on developing innovative diagnostic tools for HIV. They are working on a new type of automated HIV self-testing kit that can quickly and accurately detect HIV during the critical early stages of infection as well as in patients who are undergoing antiretroviral therapy. This technology aims to improve public health by making HIV testing more accessible and effective.
