Research Focus
Dr. Laura Zahodne's research lab focuses on understanding why older Black adults are at a higher risk for Alzheimer's disease compared to their White counterparts. The lab studies how factors like neighborhood conditions, stress, and health behaviors influence cognitive health over time. By examining these elements, the lab aims to find new ways to reduce these health disparities and improve the wellbeing of older adults.
